Aslak is a highly skilled farmer with a diverse range of talents and a creative spirit. Primarily working with wood, he also repurposes materials like metal spare parts or screws to craft a variety of furniture or design pieces in the cottage, such as a dining table, armchair, bedside tables, suitcase holder, and sitting bench. Adding ornamental touches like a wooden mosaic, a wooden wheel of fortune, and a chess table, he infuses character into each creation.

Beyond woodworking, Aslak showcases his artistic talents on canvas, drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings. The majestic peak of Store Venjetind stands out as a favorite subject, but the abundance of motifs in the landscape offers endless artistic possibilities. Additionally, his metal sculptures crafted from various scrap parts like dinosaur, turtle, cat, and even a bouquet made from old water taps, demonstrate his imaginative approach to art.
