A stunning and popular ridge hike with impressive views of mountains, fjord, valley and waterfalls. The hike starts in Vengedalen and ends in Åndalsnes. Take a bus to the starting point (bus operates only in summer).
Climb the Romsdal Stairs to a viewing platform hanging from a cliff 537 meters above sea level. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of Åndalsnes and the Romsdal Alps with the fjord.
As the name suggests = Little Mountain. A short hike (about 20 - 30 minutes one way) will reward you with a magnificent view of Trollveggen, the Romsdal Valley, the smaragd green Rauma river, Åndalsnes and the Romsdalsfjord.
Another popular destination is the lake below the peak of Bispen (Bishop). Experienced hikers can continue to the very top. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Trollstigen and the valley.
Måsvassbu Hut and Lake Måsvatnet are a good alternative if you want a moderately challenging hike. The tour starts at Heinåli Hytta. After the first climb, you will reach a relatively flat area with relaxing views of the river, lake and beautiful sceneries.
